I have had an encouraging number of enquiries about the forthcoming book, which is still due for publication on the 2nd. May. So I thought that to stop folks losing sleep thinking that they may be involved in a kiss and tell type scandal, I would give just a tiny synopsis.
It is the ramblings of a very young man with a physical affliction who is mentally scarred by life, and that in an effort to find his way in the world, stumbles into the very early days of hang gliding, micro lighting and paragliding, with excursions along the way with parachuting, Lupins, physiotherapists and Austrian prostitutes to name but a few diversions. To that end it is semi autobiographical.
The writing style can best be described as being heavily influenced by The Goons, Spike Milligan, Monty Python, Blackadder, Steven Fry and John le Carre. It is definitely not a “How to do it ” book more a ” Not how to do it” version.
The entire reason to write it was (a.) because I wanted to and (b.) that I hope it will at least raise a smile and even possibly a guffaw.
If it does either then I have succeeded.
